Election of 2019 can be the most expensive election ever in Indian history, expenditure for election may cross 50,000 crores.

In 1996’s election expenditure was Rs.2500 crore but 2009’s election charged for 10,000 crores, illegally amounts which were given to the voters are also included. In 2014’s election, the expenditure crossed Rs.35,000 crores. The growth rate in every election is surprisingly huge, now for 2019’s election presumption for expenditure are above the Rs.50,000 crores.

This huge amount of wasting or investing in the election gives a big impact of Nation’s GDP. According to a think tank, expenditure behind 2019’s election will leave America behind. In 2016’s American presidential election, the cost came approx Rs.46,211 crores and India’s 2019 election will undoubtely become the most expensive election in the world.
