Bihar: Boy Jumped In Water While Filming TikTok Video, Drowns & Died

TikTok app has provided stardom to many people, all the celebrity doppelgangers have received huge success from the app. But this app has also been a reason for taking many lives.

Recently, we came across the story of a boy who lost his life while making a stunt video for TikTok. Afzal, a resident of Adalpur village, with his two friends Kasim and Sitare, were making TikTok videos in which they were performing stunts by diving into a stream of floodwater in Keoti block.

Afzal and his friends were diving and doing extreme stunts to make videos that would have increased their celebrity status on the app. Afzal, while performing one of the stunts, drowned in the heavy currents of the floodwater and died.

The incident took place 3 days back but the video of the same incident found today on the Internet.

District Magistrate Thyagarajan said, “We make an appeal to parents to pay attention to the children and instruct them to avoid such misadventures like diving into the river streams. Unfortunately, many deaths have been caused due to such negligence and misadventures.”

“It is important to spread awareness on such events and it is also our responsibility to ensure such deaths do not happen,” he said further.

Despite loads of warnings by the authorities to the public, many children were still seen diving into the rivers from various bridges while various people were seen passing by as mute observers.

Life is precious, don’t let a stunt to seize your life.
