Rohit Shetty: Shah Rukh Khan & Ajay Devgn Has Similar Working Pattern

The Indian film director Rohit Shetty recently escorted the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) and spoke about Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn’s working pattern and that both are very hard working. Rohit has collaborated with Ajay on many films like Golmaal, Bol Bachchan, Singham, Simmba whereas, he has directed Shah Rukh in Chennai Express and Dilwale.

Talking the same, he said, “Their working pattern is the same. Both are very hard working. I have never seen a day when Shah Rukh or Ranveer (Singh) or Ajay come on set and say that they are tired. You will see them sitting in one corner and rehearsing their lines. Where they are today is because of the sincerity towards their work, and because they never took for granted the notion that they are stars.”

Further, Rohit said, “I have done so many films with Ajay, but even today when he has a long scene or a dramatic scene or an emotional scene, you will see him rehearsing with my assistant director. The same goes with Shah Rukh.”

Speaking about Ranveer Singh, he stated, “Ranveer always said ‘I am your hero. I was born to do your film’. That was three years ago. We had done an ad together, too. I had told him that whenever I will get the right script, we will do a film together.”

“He has so much energy, you need to channel it in the right way. That’s what happened in Simmba. He enjoyed the film more than anything. He is a mad guy and very sincere about work. He even made a T-shirt that read: ‘Rohit Shetty ka hero’. He is a superstar,” he added.

Rohit says, ‘In 2008, I prepared for the remake of Gulzar saheb’s film Angoor. I took the story after taking into account some young actors. At the same time, Shahrukh came to me and he also talked about filming with me. When I showed Shahrukh the script, he agreed to do the film as has been one of Shahrukh’s favorite films. ‘ Rohit further adds, ‘A few days later I got the story of Chennai Express, I liked the script of Chennai Express so much that I made up my mind to drop it. Shah Rukh went to say that now I will tell him the story of this film, I thought Shah Rukh would refuse me for this film because he agreed to the Angoor. ‘

These days, Rohit Shetty is shooting for the film ‘Suryavanshi’ with Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. ‘Suryavanshi‘ will be released in cinemas across the country on March 27 next year.
